Submission

In the last year or so I’ve started submitting photos to a number of galleries for consideration. Some of them are no-risk: you belong to a group or a gallery and you’re in. The prints don’t have to be your best, the framing can be so-so, and you still get the participation trophy. Others are more risky: you sendd what you think is your best work and hope that the juror sees what you see in it.

I’ve had a couple of photos accepted for exhibitions at Tucson’s Decode Gallery. They run a regular Square exhibition that features 12 photos. I like it because I’ve never given much thought to “Why a square?” I sent these and a few others for the upcoming show. We’ll see what happens.
