No fooling

I’ve decided to make a photo book. Not earth-shattering news, but I haven’t done it in some time. I made a book of photos from a trip we took, and I took advantage of a couple of Internet offers of free small books, but I want to create something coherent, something that has an internal logic, something that just plain makes sense and that is a pleasure to look at.

I know I’ll begin with this image, a crop of a larger frame that I made last week. The images will be square in format since I’ve been working with that for a couple of months now. I haven’t decided on whether the images will be all black and white or some mix of B&W and color. I do know that I want the book to be made by me and that it be a beautiful thing itself.

I’ll update my progress as I work through this. I’m not in a hurry.
